  • Arrival and Transportation

    Passport: Ensure your passport process starts early, as it may take up to six weeks to receive it. Keep copies and photos of your passport in case of loss during your trip.

    Airports in the United Kingdom: The nearest airport to Oxford is London Heathrow (LHR), followed by London Gatwick (LGW).

    Arriving in England: After your flight, follow signs to "CUSTOMS." Use E-GATES if available, and prepare for questions about your purpose of travel and stay duration. Proceed through the "Nothing to Declare" exit.

    Transportation to Oxford from Heathrow Airport: Depending on your terminal, head to the Central Bus Station (Stand 15), or take a free shuttle to the central bus station if arriving at Terminal 4. Terminal 5 passengers can catch the coach at Stand 10, arriving at Gloucester Green.

  • Preparing for Your Stay

    Voltage and Adapters: Note the 220-volt electrical system in England; bring the appropriate adapters for your electronic devices.

    Currency Exchange: The UK uses the British Pound. Exchange currency at the airport, local banks, or online platforms.

    Dress Code: Our dress code is business casual, with a more formal attire for the closing dinner. Ensure you have comfortable shoes for the event.

    Accommodations: Anticipate university housing with options for single or double accommodations and private bathrooms on the campus.

  • Round Table Participation

    Papers: Delegates are encouraged to submit abstracts related to the topic, but it's not mandatory for attendance. Paper length varies (10-30 pages), emphasizing quality over quantity. You will hear within a week if your abstract has been selected. Your attendance in the International Round Table is not contingent upon presenting an abstract. You are welcome to prepare a paper for possible publication even if you are not presenting.

    Preparation: Non-presenting delegates often participate in panels. Panel members receive paper copies before the Round Table.

    Agenda: The agenda will be available after abstract selection.

    Participants: We provide a list of other participants for your session after our final response date.
